The Days of Our (Book) Lives…

My thoughts on...

Holy Smokes – bad blogger!

This can’t be right… over TWO YEARS since I last entered anything here? Yikes!

What has been missed in that time? Quite a bit, I assume… probably too much to catch up on. But two big events – I’ve pulled a lot of my books from Dreamspinner and have republished them under my own name (so if you’re following old links, sorry… they’re probably taking you to the wrong place…) and… I’ve had a few new books out!

No point going back and retracing all of those. But I’ve got a new one coming up on January 21 – Last Call, a NA m/m romance set in Montreal, Canada. Cover and blurb below.

Sorry for the long absence. Oops.

Last Call by [Sherwood, Kate]

Ethan is living the good life as a student at Montreal’s McGill University. He’s out every night, partying, dancing with his friends, and meeting guys. When he sets his sights on Alex, the world’s hottest bartender, he expects a good time, and nothing more.

But things aren’t so simple with Alex. He’s been hurt too many times and he’s protective of his heart. He certainly can’t let himself get attached to a party-boy like Ethan. Except… maybe there’s more to Ethan than there seems.

As the guys grow closer, it’s harder and harder for Alex to keep the darker parts of his life away from Ethan’s brightness. But Ethan proves that he’s tougher than he seems on the outside. And maybe that means Alex can save the soft place in his heart for Ethan.

Gratuitous Kitten Pics!

Gratuitous kitten pic…

Kittens.

Because what’s the point of blogging if there are no kittens involved?

And, really, what’s the fun of being a kitten if you can’t snuggle up to your big dog brother?

Another General Update...

And it continues…

I’m working on a new book and it’s going well, but… I really do need to get going on promo stuff. I’ve got a new release coming in mid-August and I really should have a consolidated web presence well before that date.

So, I keep plugging away. It’s kinda fun. Kinda.

Technology - friend to humanity?

Technology… my friend?

You know how when someone knows a lot about something and they try to explain it to someone who knows nothing about it, they tend to jump between speaking at way too high of a level and way too low of a level?

I’m trying to tinker with some of my Online Presence stuff and the person who’s helping me starts with “Just set up your RSS feed with a simple feedburn protocol in your header.php file” and then, when I say I need it broken down a bit more, jumps to “you use your fingers to mash the little bits–we call them keys–on the rectangle in front of you.”

Aaaaargh! Where’s the porridge that’s just right?!?

The Countdown is ON!

A New Pretty!

A cover!

It’s for the fourth (and, I’m pretty sure, final) book in the Corrigan Falls YA romance series from Entangled.

It fits well with the previous books in the series in tone, style… and the fact that it doesn’t really have all that much to do with the content of the book! Like, my characters never go skating together. And the book takes place in the summer time.

Still… pretty!

Always nice to get a new Pretty for the collection!

Confessions of a Bad Blogger

I’m an INTJ. I know, I know, personality classifications are shallow and unscientific, the Myers Briggs test is meaningless, blah blah blah… but I am an INTJ. If you read the description at http://www.humanmetrics.com/personality/intj and crossed out every “INTJs” and replaced it with my name, you’d have an excellent description of my personality.

Including the “they tend to have little patience and less understanding of such things as small talk and flirtation” part. And since blogging, really, seems like a one-sided version of small talk? Well. Not my thing.

I will continue trying to post when I have something to say. For example… whoo hoo, new release from Entangled Teen Crush, the fourth (and I’m pretty sure final) book in the Corrigan Falls Raiders teen hockey romance series is coming August 14th. No cover yet, but I’ll post it when I get it.

No blurb yet. Same deal.

Other than that? I’m really not a chatter. I really have nothing to say…
